After years of preparation, mentorship, and months of (somewhat) patiently waiting...I’m happy to share that I’ve obtained a new certification: Certified Mental Performance Consultant®(CMPC) from Association for Applied Sport Psychology!
As per AASP, "Certification as a Certified Mental Performance Consultant® (CMPC) demonstrates to clients, employers, colleagues, and the public at large that an individual has met the highest standards of professional practice, including completing a combination of educational and work requirements, successfully passing a certification exam, agreeing to adhere to ethical principles and standards, and committing to ongoing professional development."
Earning and maintaining CMPC status is not just another certification to add to the list, but signifies long-term commitment to the betterment of my own practice and the mental performance field. CMPC is the only nationally accredited certification for mental performance professionals.
So, What Changes for Clients?
Not much! I will always strive to provide top-class mental skills training to teams and individuals. Clients can rest assured knowing that as equally as they invest in their performance, I invest in continuing my education, training, and practice in order to provide the best services possible. The CMPC status does not change much, but rather confirms the knowledge, skill, and competency required to help athletes perform their best. This remains my commitment to everyone that I work with.
